Cabinet Door Center Rail and Stile Guidelines
Doors over 50" tall will include a horizontal center rail unless you request otherwise.
Warranty: Smith Woodcraft does not warranty doors taller than 50" or wider than 50" without a center rail.
Placement: Center rails and stiles are positioned to create evenly sized panels by default.
Purpose:
Center Rails – run horizontally, dividing the door into two or more sections.
Center Stiles – run vertically, adding strength and visual balance.
Default Position: Mid-rails are centered vertically unless you request a different placement.
Custom Requests: Use the comments section to let us know if you’d like changes from the default layout or prefer no center rail.
