Smith Wood Craft – Door Size Specifications & Tolerances

At Smith Wood Craft, each door is crafted with precision. All wood products are manufactured to the nearest 1/16" (1.6 mm), with an allowable tolerance of ±1/32" (±0.8 mm).

Doors taller than 50" will be built with a center rail unless the customer requests otherwise. Please note that doors over 50" tall without a center rail are not covered under warranty.

Acceptable Tolerances for Bow, Warp, or Twist – 5-Piece Doors

• Single-panel doors up to 22" wide and 48" high – tolerance: 1/8"

• Multi-panel doors up to 22" wide and 48"–65" high – tolerance: 1/4"

• Multi-panel doors up to 22" wide and 65"–84" high – tolerance: 5/16"

Warranty Limitations

• Single-panel, single-opening frame-only, and mullion doors over 22" wide and 48" high are not warranted (mullion lites do not count as openings).

• Doors wider than 22" or taller than 84" are not covered under warranty.
